So ends the 2026 My Famicase Exhibition in Tokyo. Thankful to be able to participate and looking forward to next year! 🎨❤️👾

What is "My Famicase Exhibition"?��

"My Famicase Exhibition" is an exhibition event that began in 2005, where creators from a wide range of professions design original labels using Famicom cartridges as their canvas. Since then, it has been held once a year during Golden Week in May, and this year (2026) marks its 22nd edition. ��

Originally started by 21 volunteers connected to METEOR, the exhibition has grown steadily with each passing year. Since 2010, in addition to invited artists, we have also opened submissions to the general public. To date, more than 200 creators from across Japan as well as Europe, Asia, and the United States have participated. In recent years, traveling exhibitions have been held in Hong Kong and Los Angeles, as well as in Seoul, South Korea two years ago, and in Spain last year. The total number of works exhibited so far has reached 3,895.�

This year, we are proud to present 250 works submitted from 37 countries around the world.

Happy ! Made a quick fan art this morning to celebrate its 40th anniversary. Wild that it’s been 4 decades since the first game was released in 1986. I didn’t appreciate this until I picked up used copies of the first three NES games much later in my teens, and eventually got super into JRPGs as a result. The newest one I played was DQ XI but the early ones will always have a nostalgic place in my heart. Anyway, thanks for scrolling!

May the 4th be with you, to those that celebrate. ✨ I couldn’t let today slip by without sharing a new design! This one is inspired by Mandalorian and Grogu, which marks the return of the Razorcrest ship (but it’s got more yellow graphics on it apparently?). I love black and yellow so I’m cool with that! I’m a sucker for space mission style graphics so I had to take cues from that again haha. Also, sharing a few of the Star Wars things I’ve created in the past. Hm… looking back at it though, maybe I need to do more stuff with the Jedi…

When approached me to collaborate on a new hat design, I did a few and kinda failed at it. It’s hard to be an artist and even harder to design stuff people want to pay money for especially in this economy, and I get it’s a business as much as self expression. Anyway, one day Steve mentioned had suggested doing something with “Golden Fleece” as the title of the new work. I’d always loved Greek mythology as a kid, so why not. According to Merriam-Webster “The Golden Fleece represents a highly valuable, elusive prize or a nearly unattainable goal that requires immense effort, bravery, and a “hero’s journey” to acquire. Originating from Greek mythology, it is the golden wool of a winged ram, famously sought by Jason and the Argonauts and guarded by a dragon.” Cool, cool. Like many creatives, I like to put myself in my work even if it’s subconscious. I don’t think I’m particularly brave but it’s nice to have goals to aspire to. And maybe it was fate I made this design cuz I share names with the hero of this myth, and coincidentally my Chinese zodiac sign is also a ram. Anyway, not sure if this changes how anyone feels about this design haha. You might not have to go through a hero’s journey but you can look rad trying with Golden Fleece on your dome! 🐏🪽✨

What’s up folks! Here is one of several T-shirt designs that commissioned me to create over the years. They recently asked me to do a quick design update to it prior to printing a new run of stock. We explored a few ideas but ultimately decided it overcomplicated the design and only changed the bottom banner text to give tribute to Pasadena, CA. Sometimes you gotta try things before seeing that the simplest solution is best! Anyway, if you’re a SoCal local and enjoy pinball and classic arcade gaming hit them up for a good time. They’re truly a rarity in this day and age and deserve the support.

These designs are all done in… AI 😜 …that’s Adobe Illustrator, after I sketch them first in Procreate or sometimes just on notebook paper. Like what you see? Commissions are open! Hit me up 📧💬🤙

This past weekend I saw Project Hail Mary and liked it so much I went home and immediately got to work making my own fan art film poster. Got kinda carried away into the night and even did a Japanese variant. Might do more art in this cinematic style this year!

If you’ve followed me for a while, I had an old mantra I came up with when I started sharing my art here: “geek out, make art”, but haven’t done that in years so it felt nice to live by my words for once. If you’re new, hope you can stick around as I keep the art coming this year!
