This year's FinOps X 2026 gave a direction of where enterprise tech space is heading. FinOps will no longer be about cloud cost but will now include AI spending, token economics, model efficiency, GPU utilisations and the worst of it right now is that no one has an answer.

I cannot wait to see how this new space will evolve, companies will adapt and people will connect.

Day 2 at FinOps X was informative.

With the introduction of tokenomics by The Linux Foundation & Tokenomics Foundation, Tokens will be the new currency for AI.

This year will be the last FinOps X as next year will be the inaugural launch for the Tokenomicon Conference. Can't wait to see what that brings.

1st day completed at the PRE CON Event of FinOps X 2026.

I had the opportunity to represent my team at the chalk talk discussion of Expanding FinOps Practice, Adopting FinOps and Shift left.

It was engaging and learned from other practitioners practices on how these are being adopted within their organisation.

Looking forward to Day 2, start of the main event, key notes with major announcements.

These last few weekends, I have been learning alot about Claude from the Anthropic Academy. I use this in my everyday work life and want to be better at it.

I believe AI is here to stay and the more we adopt it, the better it makes life easy for us all.

Over the week 08/04/26, I had the opportunity of organising the 2nd edition of FinOps Nigeria. We had an amazing discussion and it is set to say FinOps is now here to stay in Nigeria.

Big shout-out to my co organisers Tosan Roxanne Oshogwe Blessing Ogechi Nwojiji Felix Awoyale 'Tola H. Bello for making this happen as I was unable to make it on ground.
