Pros for InkJets:
Suited for printing high quality photos
Low cost
Compact/Smaller size
Cons for InkJets:
Poor quality for text printing
Less efficient ink use
Slower print speed

Pros for LaserJets:
Fast print speeds
More efficient toner use
Cons for LaserJets:
Bulky, larger size
High cost of toner

If your print volume per month is low and you need a general purpose machine to print text/photos - An inkjet is the way to go!
If you produce a high volume of printed pages regularly with primarily textual content - then a LaserJet is what you nee!
