Next rebind — this is a Bible from 1954. It is SO NEAT inside, I was totally geeking out over it.

Trying to do my best to preserve the existing endpapers - they have an illustration and the Lord’s Prayer on them.

Finished rebinding Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lightning Thief 🔱

Faux suede hardcover, gold and blue foil cover art, hand painted edges, matching endpapers, end tabs and bookmark.

I’ve been getting a lot of questions about how to do this — It takes a few days for this whole process. There’s quite a bit of time spent cutting materials and waiting for paint and glue to dry and set!

When it’s in the press (after gluing on the cover) I design and cut the cover art, w**d it and then iron it on the book and then put it back in the press again. Seems like a lot but so worth the effort 🤩

“Streams in the Desert” by LB Cowman has a special place in my heart — it’s a daily devotional that has helped me through some tough days.

It is so much fun to use every bit of my creativity rebinding these books. Watch the video in my stories to see some of the process to take it from a normal paperback to a custom hardcover 📚

My first rebind! If you know me you know how much I love books. I’ve always wanted to learn how to bind — to know the whole process and how create a book from start to finish, from design to print to bind!

Here is my first attempt at a Bible rebind — the cover on the Bible was faux leather and was completely disintegrating. I gave it an upgrade with a new bookcloth hardcover, new headbands, new bookmark, and shimmery new end papers. ✨

Looking forward to diving deeper into this creative adventure! 📚
