I want to share a few preview pages from Sky Sharks Remastered #3, and these ones have been especially interesting to revisit.

They were some of the pages from the original series that I was already mostly happy with, which makes reworking them a strange but kind of fun exercise. There isn’t a lot I actually want to change.

That’s the tricky part.

I could easily make these pages totally different, but I don’t want to. I’m trying to find that balance between cleaning things up and not touching them so much that they stop being the pages I was originally proud of.

The Kickstarter for Sky Sharks Remastered #3 launches in February, and it will include all three remastered issues, so new readers can get the complete run in one place.

Each issue is packed with over 40+ pages of story! Most mainstream comics only give you 20 pages anymore. That's one of the best things about being an indie creator, we can make the books exactly how we want them to be.

Sky Sharks Remastered #3 is the final issue, and where everything finally catches up with the crew. The alliances. The betrayals. The mistakes that were easier to ignore when the engines were roaring.

There’s plenty of action, but this issue is about consequences, and about facing the tragic path of someone who used to be one of their own.

The Kickstarter for issue #3 launches in February, and it will include all three remastered issues, making it a complete entry point for anyone new to the series.

Happy 2026!

Can't believe 2025 is over, it went both incredibly fast and interminably slow. How does that work?

There were a number of lows last year, but there is one thing that happened that I'm still flying high on.

In June, I was tabling at Comicpalooza in Houston, Texas, and a young man specifically came up to my table and asked if I remembered him. I admitted that I did not, and he went on to tell me that at an earlier Comicapalooza ( a year or two prior) I had given him a copy of my comic SAVAGE SASQUANAUT issue 3. I sometimes give out a comic at cons to promote and entice readers, and this young man was one of those individuals.

So this year, he found me at Comicpalooza to tell me specifically that this was one of his very first comics he has ever owned, ad after reading it, in his words "over and over" that he has started drawing and making his own comic.

That's amazing!!! It's been more than 6 months ago and I still think about that moment. No one has ever said to me that one of my comics has inspired them to make their own comic. That happened and I still smile when I think about it.

Thank you, my friends, for reading my funny books. Here's to 2026, and hopefully it will be a great one and there will be more new books coming from me to maybe help inspire some more people to make comics.

For those who missed out on the SKY SHARKS REMASTERED issues 1 and 2 campaign, I'm happy to report that the Pledge Manager is now running. Through the link in the comments you will be able to pledge for your copies of SKY SHARKS 1 and 2 right now. Production of the issues is underway, and once the books arrive in hand they will be packed and shipped along with all the other orders.
