InfoComm 2026 Reflections: ICT/AV/Security Convergence is Here!

Just returned from InfoComm 2026 in Las Vegas, and the shift in the industry was impossible to ignore.
InfoComm has long been recognized as the premier Pro AV trade show. This year, it was particularly interesting to see strong participation from traditional ICT and networking leaders, including:
Axis Communications
Cisco
Eaton
Extreme Networks
Fluke Networks
Microsoft
Netgear
Ruckus Networks
Ubiquiti
Vertical Cable
The presence of these companies underscores a clear reality: ICT, AV, and Security convergence is no longer a future trend — it is the current state of the industry.
AV systems are increasingly becoming IP-based network endpoints, driving the need for robust structured cabling infrastructure, PoE power, and seamless integration with enterprise IT environments. This evolution creates both opportunities and responsibilities for those of us in the ICT and design-build space.
Excited to continue these conversations as we help clients navigate this convergence through thoughtful infrastructure design and standards-based implementations (BICSI, AVIXA, TIA, SIA).
What trends stood out to you at InfoComm 2026? Have you seen this shift accelerating in your projects?

Our team just completed the deployment of a 2x2 Transparent Video Wall using LG Transparent OLED displays. This cutting-edge technology seamlessly integrates into the architecture, creating an immersive digital experience while preserving natural light and the beautiful open feel of the space.
Visitors can now enjoy dynamic digital exhibits, interactive educational content, event announcements, and artistic displays that appear to float elegantly in the environment. The transparency allows the displays to disappear when not in use, maintaining the warm, welcoming atmosphere
This installation represents the perfect marriage of heritage and innovation — bringing 21st-century technology into a beloved community institution without compromising its character.
A huge thank you to the owner's team for trusting us with this visionary project and to our incredible installation crew for executing it flawlessly.
The future of public spaces is transparent — quite literally.
Have you seen transparent OLED technology in action yet? What applications would you love to see it used for?

We’re truly grateful to have been brought on board from the beginning for the Abilene Heritage Square Project in Abilene, TX.

This was a full design-build project, which meant our team was involved from the initial concept all the way through construction. We designed and installed the complete ICT infrastructure, Security Systems, and Audio Visual Systems — creating integrated, future-ready solutions that support both the functionality and the historic character of the space.
Being trusted as a partner from the very beginning made all the difference. It allowed us to collaborate closely with the entire project team, align every system with the owner’s vision, and deliver results that exceeded expectations.

A heartfelt thank you to the entire Abilene Heritage Square team and our project partners for the opportunity to contribute from the ground up. We’re proud of what we built together and even prouder to see it serving the community.

At Elite Solutions, Inc., we are committed to exploring innovative solutions that enhance ICT installation efficiency and performance.

During a recent product update with MaxCell, we were introduced to their self-supporting, plenum-rated duct system (MaxCell Premise). To evaluate its potential, we installed it as a proof-of-concept in our training room.

The results were impressive: this flexible, fabric-based innerduct provides a highly effective method for supporting and organizing cables in ceiling spaces—particularly in exposed ceiling applications and open architectural environments. Its self-supporting design, featuring an integrated galvanized support wire, eliminates the need for rigid conduit while maintaining plenum compliance and enabling easier cable additions or reconfigurations.

We're excited about the possibilities this brings for modern data centers, enterprise buildings, and open-ceiling spaces.

What are your thoughts on self-supporting plenum duct solutions like this? Have you implemented similar systems in your projects? Share your experiences in the comments below!
