🚨 RECALL ALERT: Organic Baby Formula Recalled Nationwide After Infant Botulism Cases
Federal health officials have announced a nationwide recall of Nara Organics Whole Milk Organic Powdered Infant Formula following a multistate outbreak of infant botulism.
According to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, three infants between 2 and 5 months old became ill in California, Pennsylvania, and Washington after consuming the formula. All three were hospitalized and treated.
The recalled formula was sold nationwide through Target stores, Target.com, and Nara.com.
Infant botulism is a rare but serious illness that can affect babies under 1 year old. Symptoms may include constipation, poor feeding, drooping eyelids, weak muscle tone, difficulty swallowing, and breathing problems.
Parents and caregivers who have this formula are urged to stop using it immediately and monitor infants for symptoms. Anyone who suspects their child may be ill should seek medical attention right away.
Federal officials say the recalled product represents less than 1% of the U.S. infant formula market and is not expected to create supply shortages.
