SDL Trados Training

Locstars is now ready to handle SDL Trados training and a brief introduction about Localization for FREE.

The event will be trigged by 3rd Feb.
Time: 3:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Location: Business Yard – 10 Hassan Wassef Street. Dokki. Giza. Egypt.
There are no fees needed for this training, it’s for free.
Capacity: 20 trainees only - will be selected randomly from the participants.

Training Content:
- Brief introduction about Localization. 1 – Hour
- What is CAT Tools? 1 - Hour
• Translation Memory (TM),
• Termbase
• Autosuggest dictionary
- SDL Trados Course. 3 – Hours
• Configuring the application to your personal preferences
• Translation of MS Office files: overview of how translators work with SDL Trados Studio
• Creating projects
• Trados Editor – TM – Termbase
• Scoping projects, Generating word counts, Analysis reports, etc.
• Creating project packages and assigning tasks to translators and reviewers
• Delivering the finished translation
• Signing off on project files
• Finalizing projects
- Xbench Validation (QA tool used to check the quality of translation)

Dears,
LocStars got many requests to handle summer training courses to students. Unfortunately, we cannot handle the training requests at this moment. :(
Maybe in the near future we will able to handle and organize some sessions and trainings specifically to students, so they can have a full orientation about Localization field.
At the present time, LocStars can help to provide you with some Localization materials that help you to know more about Localization field and explain the Localization Process and Localization Life Cycles. We are preparing the files now and will inform you about the files locations once we uploaded it in our server maximum by April 26, 2015 ;)
