Here's a hard truth about most homepages: they're written for the business owner, not the customer.
Big logo. "Welcome to [Company Name]." A paragraph about your mission, your values, how many years you've been in business. All things you care about. None of it is what your visitor actually came there to find out.
Here's what someone lands on your homepage actually asking, even if they don't say it out loud:
→ "Can this person solve my problem?"
→ "Do they understand what I'm dealing with?"
→ "What do I do next?"
If your homepage doesn't answer those three questions in the first 5 seconds, you've already lost them. Doesn't matter how nice the design is.
The fix isn't complicated, but it does require a mindset shift: stop leading with who you are and start leading with who they are. Speak to the problem first. Position yourself as the guide, not the hero. Make the next step obvious.
Your homepage isn't your résumé. It's a conversation starter with the exact person you're meant to serve.
