iOS App!

This is the first prototype of Canvas iOS App on iOS 9 Beta for Favorite Photos, Artworks, Cards, Posters, Home Videos and Stores.

Add special photos and edit albums right from your iPhone or iPad. Instant play it on Canvas with a single touch. You can just flick through categories. Eg) Swipe Single work to display Album Works

Social stream & Music on Canvas Device. A separate iOS app for Music with cool features and controls :)

Thanks, Apple Inc. iOS Development tools are really cool.

We will support other platforms in future.

1. We use Water Jet Machines and Steel Bending Brakes, Multi Tool for Manufacturing Design with precise calculations for each materials.

2. Display is connected to Hardware board through Converter Board which involves Layout design and Ge**er.

3. Our OS is Simple Linux based one with a single native App.

This is Canvas 1 specially designed for beautiful photo streams and artworks, currently being built to completion. There has been a new breakthrough in design. The new improved design will be much much cooler. Unimaginably cooler.

Bottom Photo: This is 1 Pc of the high definition touch display (Full HD) for amazing picture quality bought from an amazing supplier,
without the complete design. It supports various gestures. Pictures, Artworks will look stunning on a big display (Canvas 1 model). The other versions will run videos. The vision I have is amazing. A beautiful touch screen display for homes and offices. The next model will have little to no Bezel. We have a cool design for it. A complete overhaul. We are testing it. Hardware assembly in California. (Got to add thanks to a person who is not part of the startup now but will be joining in near future and also to a person who will hopefully join for Business side of things. I had some consultation with them during the process of purchase last year)

Top Photo: 3D Model, we developed last year. A beautiful white Canvas on a gray wall.

Manufacturing design team: Finishing off the physical product design with various beautiful color frames, colorful aluminum sheets and glasses of different thickness and Magnets sourced from amazing suppliers.

Again, great to brainstorm and work with different teams regularly.

UI designs are ongoing. Cool designs will be out soon.

Software is testing the initial designs on the OS.

Next notes on Canvas mobile App and Hardware.

We will be supporting major platforms in future. We also plan to be a platform for social networks.

The new design will sport an amazing mechanism for wireless portable chargers.

(The original idea for Wireless Portable Chargers came to me in a creative flow of thinking thanks to a person I respect a lot. The constructive criticism, a push helped me come up with the solution in a week)

A document. Canvas in Making. A startup's continuing story.

Here is the sneak preview of Art Store, Music Jukebox & Post Cards. These raw sketches are delivered to UI designer and software for testing. UI designer is refining it and is delivering the finished designs to the software team and they are implementing it on device OS, iOS & Web.

I took the liberty to add the names of my favorite artists and designer :)

I have to add that Software and Hardware Team is really really brilliant and the efforts and discussions we put in before starting the work is tremendous. Ronak Shah, the chip guy. We made sure that the cost of the product to be manufactured in the long run will be really of high quality & less cost. We planned everything ahead, the roadmap. Several intense sessions of brainstorming. We got the hardware and OS part ready for Application software design to begin.

We have developed an OS from Linux. Thanks to Amit Tamboli. Another brilliant guy. Me, Ronak, Amit, Krishnan had great conversations, made decisions about Hardware & Software along with Manufacturing & Design team. Collaboration across disciplines.

Really huge and beautiful Music Artist's Cover Art & Album Art will look amazing. Artists will be your household friends. You can enjoy the beautiful artworks, old to new. You can enjoy the amazing moments of your life through Photographs.

Notes: I would like to add notes as the startup grows.

First note: Manufacturing Design

The company is structured in a really cool way. There is a manufacturing design team which consists of me and one of my closest friend Arvind Palepu. I sat down and thought a lot about the frame of the product. The glass idea struck me in a creative flow of thinking before I even started the company and had plans to do business. And it wasn't thoughtless. It goes hand in hand with software of the product. The user will have the ability to change different background mat color for the digital picture and artworks on the touch screen based on the wall color just by scrolling. The glass will not hide the wall color and it goes hand in hand with background mat color you choose based on the picture currently in display. I was really inspired by amazing patterns and different colors people use as the background mat color of traditional frames. We wanted something that's both modern and conventional. I and Arvind agonized over the colors of aluminum sheets and the thickness of the glasses and how it hangs on the wall and the whole design. We had to get a special material (that enables the frame to not damage the wall ) from Europe since it's not available in the US (One part of the classic shape that unites with locally sourced part to be exact). We collaborate and I literally run the company through Whatsapp group, Google Hangouts, Facebook Messenger, Messages & FaceTime. Believe it or not.

Manufacturing design is something I'm really proud of. We had meetings back and forth from Library to Toomey hall to Rock Mechanics building and even at the bar. The aluminum sourced from a prominent suppler in the US that will cover the hardware will have different colors like Redwood to Chevron blue to glossy/matte white to black and the tapes that cover the glass frame based on the case color. We have some cool planning. We had to think about shear tension and lot of terms which Arvind knows a lot better that me.

We had to break our heads to get this right. It delayed the process but screw that. It can't be expressed in words the amount of intellectual discussions we had. Free intellectual brainstorming.

Next notes. About Software, Hardware, Internet & App services and how we are now designing things in parallel in a streamlined process with a really talented UI designer Vigneshwar from India. I literally provide the sketches and he turns it into UI gems ready for software.
