🎉 Update for St. Clair: we’ve completed underground construction on Brown Street!
Our crews have finished laying fiber lines along Brown Street, and we can assure you we’ve cleaned and restored the yards in our path.
Next up: we’ll be pulling fiber through the lines we just placed, bringing us one step closer to getting your service live.
As more providers move into St. Clair, you may see other crews out digging in the coming months. Since we’ve already wrapped up that part of construction, it won’t be us, so if you spot torn-up yards going forward, you’ll know who it isn’t. We take pride in leaving your property the way we found it (or better).
If you live in the Brown, Vine, or N 6th St area, you can pre-sign up now to lock in your spot and be among the first connected when service goes live! 👉 dukebroadband.com
Thank you, St. Clair, for your patience; we can’t wait for you to experience the Duke Broadband difference. 💚

🚩 Please Don't Pull MISS DIG Flags 🚩

We know the flags can be inconvenient, but they're there for a reason.

MISS DIG markings show the approximate location of underground utilities such as fiber, electric, gas, water, and communication lines. Removing, moving, or destroying these markers can create serious safety hazards, delay construction, cause service outages, and lead to expensive utility damage.

In Michigan, damaging or removing utility locate markings can result in the responsible party being held liable for the cost of re-marking utilities, repair costs if a utility is damaged, project delays, and potential fines or penalties associated with violating safe digging laws.

If you have flags in your yard, please leave them in place until construction is complete. If they are accidentally removed, contact us so they can be remarked before any work continues.
Our Phone Number is 833-444-3853

Those little flags may not look important, but they help protect people, property, and critical infrastructure throughout our community.

Thank you for helping us keep everyone safe and our projects moving forward! 💚🚩

🚧 Restoration work is officially beginning!

🚧 Fiber progress in St. Clair!

This spool means one thing… fiber pulling is underway and that means service is getting SUPER close. 👀 Once fiber starts going in, we’re getting into the final stages before homes can begin going live.

Big progress happening every day as crews continue working through the area to bring fast, reliable fiber internet to St. Clair. 💚

🚧 Here’s a closer look at part of the underground fiber installation process.

What you’re seeing is directional drilling—creating a path underground so we can install conduit without trenching through roads or yards. After the path is drilled, it’s widened and then conduit is pulled back through the same route.

This is one of several steps that go into building the network before fiber is placed, spliced, and brought into service.
