Listen. I get it. Life is hard, and everyone else needs you.

But literally your health will NOT get better until you start paying attention.

Those aches and pains? The rapid anger at something minimal? Your annoyance with someone for having the audacity to exist? That chronic illness where you can’t predict the flare ups? The mysterious symptoms your doc can’t pin down? The weight you just can’t shake? The mental health that won’t get better no matter what you try? The cycles of crappy relationships that you keep finding yourself in?

Your body is communicating, and one of the most effective ways to get to the point where you can begin to speak the same language is through somatic breathwork.

It’s felt chaotic in life with all the crazy end-of-school, spring sports, planning summer and prepping for all of the things (and, you know, all the other things too long to list here).

But the capacity to come home to ourselves literally, figuratively, and fully…here for it.

This song came on during my journaling today, and these lyrics stopped me in my tracks.

So infinitely grateful for the time I’ve spent getting to know myself and my needs so I can honor the deepest parts. It gets real dark sometimes, but I’m always home and I’m learning to be my own best friend instead of live-in-bully.

What a gift.
