One of my favorite parts of branding is helping businesses look and feel like the work they actually do.

Recently finished this apparel concept and promotional mockup for Turner Excavating LLC — built around the rugged, rural work they’re known for across Southeast Missouri and Northeast Arkansas.

Instead of creating “just another company shirt,” the goal was to build something cinematic, authentic and wearable while still functioning as a strong branding piece for the business. Something different. Something set apart.

For those who don’t know, before business ownership, retail, advocacy and everything else life turned into…design and marketing was where it all started for me.

Back in 2006, I entered the corporate advertising world completely self-taught and right out of high school, working alongside people with degrees and years of formal training. I started in a support role, quickly moved up, and eventually took on multiple positions at once. I learned the power of branding, promotional products, marketing strategy and what it takes to build something people actually connect with.

That experience eventually led me into freelance work with screen print shops, sign companies and advertising businesses across the country. Over the years, I designed for businesses of all sizes, created award-winning apparel designs, and learned how to adapt creatively across dozens of industries.

In 2021, I pivoted into retail business ownership and built multiple businesses from the ground up using the same skills I had spent years developing. Branding, marketing, customer engagement, community presence, social media, promotions, campaigns, advocacy...I’ve lived it all firsthand.

Now, after years of building for everyone else, I’m finally bringing Turner Marketing & Design back to life.

This isn’t about trendy marketing tactics or generic templates. It’s about helping small businesses build authentic brands that stand apart, connect with their communities, and grow with intention. Let my experience be your experience. We can grow together and I'm so very excited for this.
