For those of you who are unclear about what I do, here is a list. (This has come about because of a friend, a very close friend, who asked me if I know someone who can “do” her brother’s resume PROFESSIONALLY.) “Hellooo! ME!”
As a graphic designer, I can: design a logo for you. I can design a look for your company. I can create all the matching marketing materials you would need for your business
like brochures, letterhead, banners, billboards, business cards and direct mailing pieces (a.k.a. fliers and postcards). As an editor, I can edit your book, newsletter, resume, brochure text... anything. I am a grammar nerd and proud of it! If you are a friend who may need something, I can design your kid’s birthday party invitation, wedding invitations, birth announcements, funeral cards, graduation announcements and invitations - anything on paper. I can alter and “fix” photos. I can convert your files from this to that. I do not draw, but I can “mouse” the heck outta stuff. I do not use Word, Publisher or any other generic graphics software; I use the industry standard Adobe Creative Suite package. I’d like to think I am also good at color and creating complimentary color combinations. I have been doing computer graphics, page layout, writing, editing and proofing for over 25 years. So to say I’m just a graphic designer is limiting, but it’s the best I have to sum it up. Oh, wait, one more thing. I am also a print broker. What this means is that after I design all these things for you, I am able to get them printed. I work with a company and they give me great pricing which I am then able to pass on to YOU!
