🤖💼 Who pays when AI drains your bank account?
We are witnessing a massive shift: from AI that simply answers prompts, to "Autonomous Agents"—systems you give a budget and a goal (e.g., “trade stocks and maximize profit”), and they run solo for days.
But what happens if the AI hallucinates, suffers a logic error, and executes 10,000 wrong transactions per second, wiping out a bank account? Who covers the loss? The bank? The AI tech giant? Or the client?
This exact dilemma pushed the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) to step in. The new framework mandates:
1️⃣ An isolated "Kill-Switch": A panic button allowing humans to instantly stop the AI, without the system being able to override it.
2️⃣ Cryptographic Traceability: A digital "black box" where every AI decision is mathematically signed, so we know exactly who is legally liable.
Innovation without accountability is a hazard. Would you trust an autonomous AI agent with your finances right now?
