What will students do at the AFA CyberCamp?
The AFA CyberCamp program is designed to excite students new to cybersecurity about STEM career
opportunities and teach them important cyber defense skills through hands-on instruction and activities.
Through the camp, students will learn how to protect their personal devices and information from outside
threats, as well as how to harden entire networks running Windows and Ubuntu operating systems.
The AFA CyberCamp will culminate in an exciting final team competition that simulates real cybersecurity
situations faced by industry professionals and mimics AFA’s CyberPatriot National Youth Cyber Defense
Competition.

Who can attend? The curriculum is designed for students new to cybersecurity. We are inviting registered
scouts and siblings who are at least 11 years of age. The material does get somewhat technical and a good
attention span and maturity level is required (This is NOT a daycare. Please use good decision-making on your
child’s maturity level). The camp is limited to 25-30 participants so there is limited space.

When will the camp run?
June 24 through June 28 (9:00 to 4:00 daily) (drop-off begins 8:45) (pick up by 4:15 pm)

Что будут делать студенты в киберлагере AFA?
Программа AFA CyberCamp разработана, чтобы заинтересовать студентов, новых в области кибербезопасности, возможностями карьеры в STEM и обучить их важным навыкам киберзащиты через практические занятия и мероприятия. В ходе лагеря студенты научатся защищать свои персональные устройства и информацию от внешних угроз, а также укреплять целые сети на операционных системах Windows и Ubuntu. Киберлагерь AFA завершится захватывающим финальным командным соревнованием, имитирующим реальные ситуации в кибербезопасности, с которыми сталкиваются профессионалы отрасли, и напоминающим национальное соревнование AFA CyberPatriot по киберзащите.

Кто может участвовать?
Учебная программа разработана для студентов, новых в области кибербезопасности в возрасте от 11 лет. Материал становится довольно техническим, поэтому требуется хорошая концентрация внимания и уровень зрелости (это НЕ детский сад. Пожалуйста, оценивайте уровень зрелости вашего ребенка). Навыки программирования будут полезны, но программа рассчитана на начинающих с нуля. Лагерь ограничен 25-30 участниками, поэтому места ограничены.
