I'm so excited to officially share the brand-new website I had the privilege of designing for Willits Kids Club! 📚

From the new branding and website design to organizing content, forms, and creating a more user-friendly experience, this project was all about making it easier for families to find the information they need while giving the organization a fresh, modern online presence that worked for them, vs against them.

🤎🌲A VERY SPECIAL LOGO!🌲🤎

Designing this logo for Willits Kids Club was a project that meant a lot to me personally.

Growing up in Willits, I wanted this logo to capture more than just the organization itself. I wanted it to reflect the character and history of the community that helped shape me. One of the most recognizable landmarks in town is the iconic "Gateway to the Redwoods" arch. It's a symbol of hometown pride, and for many of us, it's one of the first things that comes to mind when we think of our hometown of Willits.

Ironically, the sign was actually donated to Willits, CA by Reno, NV in 1995. What makes that history even more special to me is that I was actually born in Reno! I couldn't help but appreciate the connection between the city where my story began and one of the most iconic landmarks in the town where I grew up.

Incorporating elements of the arch into the Willits Kids Club logo felt like the perfect way to honor both the community's history and its future. The final design blends that recognizable landmark with a playful, welcoming feel that reflects the youth, families, and opportunities that make Willits Kids Club such an important part of our community.

Sometimes the best designs tell a story, and this one feels a little like coming full circle. ❤️🌲

✨ Client Spotlight: Denise Marie Photos ✨

I recently had the pleasure of helping Denise get her photography website up and running, from domain setup, contact forms, and software integrations, all the way to polishing the overall design so everything feels cohesive and easy for her clients to navigate.

One thing I always tell photographers is that you already have some amazing tools available to you. Many photography website platforms and booking systems are incredibly well built for your industry, which means you don’t always need a fully custom website build like many other businesses do. Because of that, photographers can often launch a beautiful, functional site at a much lower design cost.

My role is really just to help with the time-saving side of things and add a little extra design spark so everything looks polished, branded, and ready for clients to book with confidence.

If you’re a photographer who has all the tools but just needs help putting the pieces together, I’m always happy to jump in and help.
