I'm very excited to offer this design! Inspiration comes from the book of Revelation, chapters 21 and 22. These passages bring me a sense of wonder and joy, peace and hope. I gain another glimpse into the unfathomable love God has for His children in the description of His new creation. https://www.inspiredchromadesign.com/torusphere-amplexusmaille/jerusalemnecklace
Reading these chapters I became curious about the names of the foundation stones that I didn't recognize, so I looked them up. In my research I found out all of these stones have 'anisotropic' properties.
Anisotropic: substances whose physical or mechanical properties - such as stiffness, conductivity, or refractive index- vary depending on the direction of measurement. Unlike 'isotropic' materials (eg. metals, glass), these materials feature aligned internal structures like fibers or crystals, making them stronger or more conductive along certain axes. (Science Direct)
In recent history, scientists gained the technology to view this characteristic in gemstones and crystals. When specimens of the foundation stones are magnified and then illuminated by cross-polarized light (a pure light) they glint in a spectacular rainbow of colors due to their anisotropic properties.
As described in the book of Revelation, God is the pure light illuminating the New Jerusalem at its very center and because of this, there is no night there. With this new understanding of the 12 foundation stones' anisotropic properties, we are given an astounding new visual! He is the pure, loving light that makes the Holy City come alive in a spectrum of color!
