Yesterday, students from Shawnee Mission North High School had us swooning 😍 over their Valentine’s themed candy typography. 🍬🍫
Always a good time introducing the next generation of creatives to FADS and the tasty treats within! 😋

We hope to see them again someday, as students of JCCC FADS! 😁

AI in the art world may seem like a nightmare with so much talk about how it is that it is taking jobs and stealing creativity. 😱 While AI might not be a dream for everyone, it is certainly a powerful tool to be utilized. And these pieces are proof.

Come see for yourself as art director Kevin Garrison uses AI as a creative tool ✍️, and not a designer’s replacement 🤖. From now through the beginning of March, his AI generated work will be on display in the FADS building on JCCC campus.

I once attended a lecture hosted by illustrator/visual artist Wesley Bedrosian, and he said that the parts of a piece that receive the most detail are often the parts that don't get the spotlight.🔦 To prove this point, your eye was most likely drawn to the white "pit" - which has much less detail that the ground around it.

Perhaps this is a lesson that doing the most does not mean that it will be the best.🤔 Sometimes, simple is better.😌
