I’ve always loved creating designs centered around both body neutrality and body positivity (I believe both can coexist). Happy Day has followed me through many big changes in life that have affected my body - from a hip reconstruction surgery at 22 to a pregnancy at 26 & becoming a mother at 27, I’ve been a constant work in progress when it comes to self compassion surrounding my body. But creating art surrounding these themes has always been incredibly cathartic and helpful in that journey. And although it can be easier to say it rather than believe it sometimes, it’s truly made a huge difference. I see the stretch marks from growing my son, or the scars from my hip surgeries and see them as lil tattoos that tell my story. I’m learning to love how my body has changed & will continue to change as I ease back into exercising and embracing my new role as a mom
