Day 3 of creating my first official art collection

Spring has always had a special place in my heart. As I’m working through my first official art collection, I find myself reflecting on various spring memories and feelings. between picking up the helicopter leaves with my grandma, the feeling of the fresh spring air, admiring all the beautiful blooms, my whole soul awakening as the earth wakes back up after hibernation. Spring is truly my favorite season and I hope to encapsulate that feeling into each of those pieces. This is my love letter to spring, coming mid-May. Don’t forget to create something today.

Join me on my creative journey in 2022. To try to stay consistent with my creative practice, I’m keeping it pretty simple with the art materials I use. This video will walk you through the art materials I’m using now and plan on using throughout the year. This will evolve and grow throughout the year just as my creative practice will. At the end of 2022 I plan on creating another video to share with you what I end up using, trying, and adapting to my practice. Give yourself the flexibility of trying different art materials or use limited art supplies. Remember that this is YOUR creative journey and you’re in charge!

This is where Courage Studio's name was born. My background is deeply rooted in the arts and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Backstory on why I initially became an art teacher:
I had an art teacher in elementary school that told me "I would never succeed in the arts". He hindered me from exploring my creativity. This was rooted in me so young that I used it as fuel to succeed in the arts. Drawing and painting didn't come to me naturally- it took immense practice and patience. The same goes for design. These things bring me joy and showing others that anyone can do it if they're willing to try and put the time and effort into it, it's possible to make it work.
