It’s easy to lose sleep when Monday is around the corner.

So, since you’re up doom scrolling Instagram anyways (we all do it), open up your calendar app or grab a sticky note and pen. Take a second to think of 3 tasks you ABSOLUTELY need to finish by end of day. Set it at the top of your calendar app to go off at 5 minutes before your work day begins, put it in your planner so you see it in the morning, or go place it on your computer monitor if you work from home.

Bonus points if you think of a realistic but highly attractive reward for completing said tasks.

I know it’s been a minute buuuut.....
..starting an online business in the middle of a pandemic without a home of my own is no small feat.

Yet here I am, living the dream of owning my own business and doing work I love with clients I adore!

☀️ We’ve moved to Florida! ☀️

After being in the cold Pacific Northwest these last two years, we are LOVING being in sun!

The colors in this project turned out so beautiful, there is a real chance I might take inspiration for it for my own branding (yup, still working on that!). Something I believe helps clients see the full vision of their brand is to see things all together in their variations, right next to each other (see second slide). With every brand package, clients receive a robust version of a brand guidelines pdf that lets them see their finished product all together (along with suggestions on the best ways to use the brand to keep consistency across their business).

My inspiration for this "for fun" mini project was the couple themselves: Lucas and Jessica Brawner. An educator and wedding/events professional by trade, they are the perfect mix of elegance and whimsy, warmth and cool, fun and calm. Let's hope one day we will all be walking into the real Brawner Bakery for treats, baking classes, and getting to share time with loved ones!

Something I learned recently from an episode of was the importance of strengthening your creativity muscles with mini projects. So, when I had a random dream one night about friends of my husband's and I opening up a bakery (saw they were baking for Christmas on their Instagram Stories before bed), I texted them the next morning and asked if I could use them as my next mini project!
