When your maternity photoshoot turns into a "soooo… how do you feel about a hospital bedside shoot?" 😅🤍

True story. This sweet mama's baby had other plans and decided to show up before her maternity session. She's in labor, still cracking jokes, and honestly? I love her for it.

It's a funny reminder that babies don't always follow the schedule, so if maternity photos are a must-have in your pregnancy journey, planning ahead makes all the difference. Booking around 20 weeks gives you time for styling, gown fittings, and glam, so your session lands in that glowy 28–34 week sweet spot, before baby decides it's go time.

To make it easy, I created a free pregnancy checklist, a calm, week-by-week timeline from week 8 to week 39:
