Minute Monday: turning nature into a custom pattern 🍃✨

I love finding inspiration in the things around me, and this one started with a simple photo of a leaf. With a little Photoshop and Illustrator magic, it turned into a completely custom psychedelic-inspired pattern.

Save this one for the next time you need a little design inspiration!

My first donated mural in Omaha is officially complete 🎨

When I started The Do Good Designer, I knew I wanted giving back to be part of what I created. Getting to bring “Amplify a Child’s Voice” to life for CASA and seeing the reaction from their team made this project feel extra special.

I’m so grateful I got to create something that will live in their space and represent the important work they do for kids in the Omaha community 💙

From design to installation, the Patino mural is officially complete 🎨

Created to celebrate 20 years of Patino, this mural brings together custom florals, their brand elements, and a few new techniques along the way. One of my favorite parts was seeing how excited the Lincoln community was as it came to life.

If you’re in Lincoln, stop by Prescott Ave to see the finished mural in person! 🌸

Minute Monday, but make it a design challenge ✍️✨

The pen tool was one of the first things I learned in Illustrator, and tracing state outlines was actually how I taught myself to use it. So I decided to put those skills to the test and see if I could recreate Washington in under a minute.

What design challenge should I try next?

Celebrating 20 years of Patino with a mural designed just for the occasion 🌸

Inspired by their branding, the design brings together custom florals, their bold color palette, and the clean, modern style Patino is known for. I love how this concept came together and can’t wait to show you the finished mural!

Stay tuned for part two where we install! 🎨✨
