I have put off this announcement because it is one I have wrestled with - wondering if it is the right decision, and when is the right time. As the year comes to a close, I look back on 2023 fondly as the end of an era for me - Lauren Perry Studio is closed and I am not accepting new clients.
At the beginning of the year, I took on a new position in leadership at my architecture firm and welcomed my son, Reid! While this year has shown me I can do a LOT in 24 hours, I can’t do everything. I’m so lucky to love so many things.
I have slowly scaled back LPS since last year in anticipation of these life changes to try to find that perfect balance, but know in my heart that I’m an all or nothing kind of gal. Because when I do something, I give it my all! I want to give a resounding (not a slightly stressed) yes to my work, and that means carving out space to focus on fewer things.
I hope to re-open someday in the future (maybe with little hands to help stuff envelopes?) when the time feels right. Until then, it has been one of my life’s greatest honors to play a small part in so many of your big days!
