Every time the pitch doesn't land, founders do the same thing.
They sit down and sharpen the answer.
But sharpening the answer is not the issue.
The founder has been perfecting their response to one question:
💬 "Why does this product matter and what does it do?"
The buyer is running a completely different question:
💬 "Does this fit the situation I'm already in?"
Those are not the same question.
A sharper answer to the wrong question is still a miss.
Every revision makes the founder's explanation tighter. None of them change the question the buyer is actually running.
The work is not a better answer. It is finding the question they are already asking.
Send this to a founder who keeps rewriting their positioning.
