Back up your data with Time Machine ⌛

It's built into your Mac and made to back up your apps, accounts, settings, music, photos, movies, and documents. Doing this allows you to restore your Mac if you accidently delete files or can’t access them!

Here's how:
Apple Menu > System Settings > General > Time Machine > Add Backup Disk > Select drive you want to use

Note:
Files in iCloud Drive and photos in iCloud Photos are automatically stored in iCloud and don’t need to be part of your Time Machine backup ☁️

3 tips to take better pics with your iPhone!

1. Use the volume button on the side of your phone as a shutter to take a picture

2. By tapping the screen and sliding a finger up and down when a picture is open, you can adjust the exposure and lighting

3. Manually add a soft faded background to create a dramatic blurring effect by swiping left on the viewfinder and selecting "Portrait Mode”

📢 Apple Launch Event

On September 12, Apple will officially launch their new iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and a new iPhone 15 Max.

Here are just some of the changes we can expect:
-- Titanium will replace stainless steel edges on the Pro models
-- USB-C charging port across all models
-- Updated camera lens and wider optical zoom
-- A16 processor will be replaced with a 3-nanometer chip in the Pro models

Apple will open pre-orders on 9/15 with the products going on sale on 9/22

Does your Apple Watch have a software bug?

Apple Watch not syncing with your iPhone?

Let's troubleshoot!

-- Make sure that your Apple Watch and iPhone are close together
-- Be sure that Bluetooth is turned on for both devices
-- Check that your Apple Watch is charged (It needs to be at least 50% charged in order to sync)
-- Make sure that your Apple Watch is not in Airplane Mode
-- Restart both devices
-- Update your Apple Watch and iPhone software
-- Unpair and re-pair your Apple Watch with your iPhone

Apple Watch keeps freezing?

Let's troubleshoot!

-- Make sure that your Apple Watch is not in Power Reserve mode
-- Be sure that any third party apps you're using are compatible
-- Check that your software is up to date
-- Restart your Apple Watch

Apple watch not receiving notifications?

Let's troubleshoot!

-- Be sure that your Apple Watch is connected to your iPhone
-- Check that notifications are turned on for the app you aren't receiving notifications from
-- Make sure that Mirror My iPhone is turned on
-- Be sure your Apple Watch isn't in Do Not Disturb mode
-- If you're using a third-party app to manage notifications, make sure that the app is compatible with your Apple Watch
-- If you're using a VPN, be sure that it's configured correctly
-- Restart your Apple Watch and your iPhone
-- Update your Apple Watch software
-- Reset your Apple Watch
-- Take your Apple Watch to an Apple Authorized Service Provider (like us!)

Apple watch not charging?

Let's troubleshoot!

-- Check the charging cable and adapter to make sure they’re not damaged or frayed
-- Clean the charging contacts and charging puck with a soft, dry cloth
-- Restart your Apple Watch
-- Update your Apple Watch software by going to Settings > General > Software Update and check for updates
-- Reset your Apple Watch by going to Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings. (This will erase all the data on your Apple Watch, so make sure to back up your data first)
-- Take your Apple Watch to an Apple Authorized Service Provider (like us!)

Set up your Mac’s screensaver and increase security on your computer:

Turn on screen saver:
Apple Menu > System Preferences > Desktop > Screen Saver > Use the slider to choose 15 minutes or less

Password protected reentry:
System Preferences > Security > Turn on “Require password to wake this computer from sleep or screen saver”
