Email threads and spreadsheets used to run construction tenders. We built Tenderix to replace both.

It's a reverse-auction platform. The admin builds each tender as a table — work items down the side, cost columns across — and sets a minimum bid step per column. Suppliers type offers straight into the cells, and every new bid has to come in lower than the last one by at least that step. So the price only moves one way.

Everyone sees the leading number. Nobody sees who's behind it until the admin picks a winner — and the pick can weigh delivery term and qualification alongside price.

Two portals (admin and supplier), light and dark themes, and the same bidding table working down to a 320px phone screen. Design and development by WebDesignSun on React and Node.

Our office is a group chat and a shared calendar.

It has been that way since 2012, eight years before the rest of the world was talked into it. At the time it sounded like an excuse.

What it gave us is simple. We hire the person who fits the job, wherever they live. And the working day stretches across continents — someone closes a laptop while someone else opens one.

The quiet benefit came later. When you cannot walk over and ask, you write it down. Decisions, handovers, comments in the code. Everything important ends up somewhere outside one person's head.

Does distance create distance? It can. Overlapping hours and one person who talks to the client keep it together.

Fourteen years in, and nobody has asked for a desk.

Where do you work from today?

Native or cross-platform? A year ago that question opened almost every mobile call we took. Now it barely comes up.

Flutter is our default for mobile. One codebase covers iPhone and Android, so you stop paying twice for the same work, and nothing comes out of scope for it.

The old worries don't hold up in production.

Speed. Flutter compiles to ARM code and draws its own UI at 60–120 fps.

Look and feel. The app looks like whatever the design system says.

Native features. Payments, camera, push and biometrics go through platform channels, and when something is missing we write the bridge once.

Native still wins sometimes — heavy AR, hardware-bound apps, teams already running two native codebases who like it that way. So we don't argue it in general.

The app on the image is Localist, a local shops and rewards app of ours, built from one repository.

Tell us what you're building and we'll go through both routes with you, with an estimate next to each.

How to launch an MVP without spending a year on it — four rules we use on real projects.

Pick one action. Decide the single thing a user must be able to finish: book, order, apply. Everything else goes on the version-two list. That list is where most of the budget gets saved — every nice-to-have you postpone is weeks of development you don't pay for yet.

Choose your proof number before launch. Signups, completed orders, repeat visits — one number that tells you the idea works. It keeps scope discussions short: if a feature doesn't move the number, it waits.

Build the boring parts properly. Screens can be rough; you'll redo them anyway once real users react. Authentication, payments and the data model are different — get those wrong, and you're not iterating anymore, you're rebuilding.

Plan release two before you ship release one. Early users are generous with feedback. Keep enough budget and flexibility in the code to actually use it.

Planning a launch? Send us what you have, and we'll help you cut it down to a version one worth shipping. 🚀

Off-the-shelf Shopify? You can do better.
A quick test for store owners: open your shop next to two competitors, cover the logos, and try to tell which one is yours.

If it takes more than a second, that's the real cost of an off-the-shelf theme. Thousands of stores run the same layout, and customers scroll past all of them at the same speed. Shopify itself is a solid foundation — that part you keep. The template on top is what makes you forgettable.

We built the Disuri Beauty store around the opposite idea. Same Shopify under the hood, but everything a customer sees follows one brand and the way people shop for beauty: the photography gets the screen space, and the path to payment is a straight line.

A custom build doesn't mean starting from zero. Shopify keeps doing what it does well — payments, hosting, reliability. We build your part around your brand, once, properly.

Curious what your store could look like off the template? Send us a link, we'll take an honest look. 🛍️

Meet the people behind the code. 👋

This is Igor, founder of Web Design Sun. He started the studio in 2012 with a small team of developers and one firm rule: if we take a product on, someone owns it start to finish.

Fourteen years later the team is 40+ people across design, development, QA and support, and the rule hasn't moved an inch. Igor is still as hands-on as he was on day one.

Why tell you this? Because when you hire an agency, you're really hiring its habits. Ours come from a founder who's still in the work every day.

Over the coming weeks we'll introduce more of the team — the designers, engineers and QA people you'd actually be working with.

The strange thing about our job: the better we do it, the less anyone notices.

Nobody has ever left a review saying "the checkout had a lovely layout." People only mention an interface when it gets in their way. The rest of the time they just buy the thing, book the slot, and come back next month. Silence is the five-star rating of UX.

So that's the bar we hold every screen to: a person opens it for the first time and already knows what to do. No tutorial. No hunting for the right button. Every second of "hm, where do I click?" looks tiny in a design review — and shows up as drop-off in your analytics, where it stops looking tiny at all.

Want to check how your own product holds up? Watch someone use it for the first time, and don't help them. Every place they hesitate is a place you're losing customers. That's usually where our work starts.

The screens in this post show what this approach looks like in practice. 🖥️

Yes, AI writes a real share of code now. Should you worry about your product? Only if nobody's steering.

By now AI handles most of the repetitive layer of development: scaffolding, boilerplate, test stubs, migrations. All the plumbing that used to eat hours of an engineer's week now takes minutes. Honestly, good riddance. Nobody's best work was ever a migration script.

What AI still can't tell you is what your product should be. It won't pick the trade-offs that protect you six months out, and it won't spot the edge case that takes checkout down on a Friday night. Those calls need someone who actually understands your business, and that's where our engineers put their time now that the busywork is off their plate.

So the deal we offer clients is simple: AI speeds up the predictable parts, humans own the architecture and the decisions. You get a faster build, and your product never runs on autopilot.

If you're planning a build and wondering which parts are safe to accelerate, ask us. We're happy to walk through it. 🤖

A few years ago, Shopify was "just" a store builder. In 2026, it's a full commerce engine.

AI-assisted tools, fast storefronts out of the box, and one place to sell across web, social, and physical retail — that's why everyone from first-time founders to global brands keeps choosing it. It scales with you instead of boxing you in.

But here's the part the sales pages skip: Shopify gives you the engine, not the finished car. Out of the box you get a solid, reliable store. What you don't get automatically is the part that actually moves revenue — a storefront built around how your customers buy, a checkout tuned to your funnel, and the integrations that connect Shopify to the tools you already run on.

That gap between "a Shopify store" and "a Shopify store that sells" is where the right build pays for itself. It's also exactly what we do: we take Shopify's reliability and shape it around your product, your catalog, and your growth plan.

Thinking about launching on Shopify — or feeling like your current store isn't pulling its weight? Let's talk about what a proper build could do for it. 🛒

The web doesn't sit still — and if you own a product, 2026 is a year worth watching closely. Four shifts are quietly changing what "well-built" actually means.

AI now writes a real share of production code. That doesn't replace engineers — it moves them up a level: from writing boilerplate to architecting the product and catching the edge cases AI can't see.

Server-first is back. Meta-frameworks and the edge render pages before they reach the browser, so sites feel instant instead of assembling in front of your users.

Composable beats monolith. Headless, API-first systems let you build once and evolve piece by piece — swap a tool or add a channel without tearing everything down.

Security is a default, not a feature. More moving parts means more attack surface, so protection belongs in the first commit — not bolted on before launch.

For a product owner this isn't trivia — it's the line between a site that scales and one you'll be rebuilding in a year.

Which of these is already on your roadmap? 👇
