Working with clients just got easier with these updates to your Invoicing section on Mellow:

• Offers are now called Secure Deals. Same idea, clearer name.

• Your clients no longer need to fully register on Mellow.
A quick verification is enough to pay your invoices or work with you through Secure Deal.

• Card payments are back!
Companies can once again pay by card, even using Apple Pay. Ka-chow ⚡️

So: less admin for your clients, easier way for you to get paid, everyone’s winning 🙌

What’s one boundary you only introduced after getting burned?

A good client won’t be put off by a clear payment process. A great one will make sure you’re paid on time (and maybe a bit ahead of the due date) and you know everything about the process transparently.

If someone pushes back on your suggestions to make the payment secure before the work even starts, that’s useful to know but not a reason to loosen your terms to keep them interested.

You don’t need to decide whether a new client is trustworthy. What you need to do is set everything up so you don’t have to find out about their trustworthiness the expensive way.
