Xbox Live Party Chat changed gaming forever and to this day, it’s one of the most debated features Xbox ever introduced.
On one hand, it let friends stay connected no matter what they were playing. You could be in different games and still hang out together. For many players, it became the social hub of online gaming.
On the other hand, it slowly emptied game chat. The trash talk, rivalries, random friendships, and unforgettable lobby moments started disappearing as more people stayed in private parties. Those once lively lobbies eventually fell silent.
