Most standards for AI and image-making will not be written by the people who actually make the images.
We think that is backwards.
Feather Creative and Consider the Image have launched a survey for U.S. creators as the first phase of The AI Accord, a project focused on accountability around image-based generative AI, including data use, compensation, consent, licensing, attribution, and provenance.
Metapyxlās founder and CEO, Tiffany Walling McGarity, will be speaking at The AI Accord summit in New York City on November 12, 2026.
Her view comes from 25 years as a photographer before building rights and provenance technology:
A license may say what is allowed. But too often, that information does not travel with the image once it leaves your hands.
That gap is where a lot of the current AI debate lives.
If you are a photographer, retoucher, art director, producer, editor, brand-side creative, stylist, makeup artist, set designer, artist rep, agency, publisher, or anyone else who touches the image-making process, your perspective belongs in this conversation.
Please take five minutes to answer the survey, and share it with other image-makers.

The future of image rights, consent, and provenance should not be decided without the creative people whose work makes the industry possible.
An industry-wise survey in the United States to inform the principles of The AI Accord. Submissions due October 31, 2026. **You are not required to sign into Google to take this survey.
