D is for Detroit!
It’s time to go home for the holidays😊

My take on a historiated initial from a book of hours made in the Middle Ages that I found on the British Library’s website. It’s painted on real parchment with homemade egg tempera. I also learned to guild, to make ink, and how to use a quill to write with it.
