Last week we had the absolute delight of reconnecting with our long time collaborator and joybringer SPARKY BLUEROCK in hosting random acts of kindness in Austin, Texas all weekend.

Sparky was one of our favorite volunteers in the earlier years of the campaign stemming back as far as 2010, and has produced a variety of creativity inspiring performing arts & music events across the country. We had tons of fun bringing Free Hugs Friday along South Congress Ave in Austin with our crew of volunteers - including Nataliana .services who facilitated Free Hugs Austin prior to the pandemic and has been inspired to bring it back ongoingly after connecting with us!

Saturday we went to Pease Park and brought chalk, bubble guns, and compliments to passerby enjoying their afternoon and evening in the park and connected to new Eye Heart U members inspired by our works!

Featuring pieces by the Asheville street art collective - you know we are all about all sorts of street art and campaigns that bring joy and creativity to the public!

We brought the Free Hugs campaign to Asheville this past week, having the great fortune to bring it to their super aligned annual Joy Fest before we encountered amongst many other new friends and volunteers for the campaign.

We will being Free Hugs to New Orleans this weekend, and the Austin/San Antonio area after this - reach us if you know people who's love to connect with the 👁️ 💜 U campaign in those areas!

on our last day of adventure in Ciudad De Mexico before returning to NYC. Huerto Roma Verde, in the very central Roma neighborhood of CDMX, is an urban permaculture garden and community center that demonstrates what our urban centers can be like when communities come together with care and compassion for one another and our planet.

The space hosts an organic garden, organic food & sustainable craft vendors, workshops, classes, healing ceremonies (Temezcal/sweat lodge on slide 8), a movement & martial arts studio, artisanal shops, cafes/restaurants, and much more.

Huerto Roma Verde was formed on the grounds of the ruins of an apartment complex that fell to the ground during a devastating earthquake in 1985. In 2012 various community groups and activists alongside a nonprofit group, La Cuadra, cleaned the site and created Huerto Roma Verde - an urban garden and community center that is "a flagship of environmentalism, urban permaculture and community development." Built on the grounds of a tragedy, Huerto Roma Verde exemplifies that, when people come together in community, the ruins of the past can shape a brighter future for the next generation.

💧 Legally preventing the sprawling overdevelopment of Near-The-Arc Silo Ridge resort community and excavation of toxic landfill wastes Silo Ridge would have imposed on Amenia and it's waterways

💧 💰Spearheading organic winery development - ’s Vineyards https://naturesvineyards.com/2025/10/water-is-life-and-long-islands-future-depends-on-remembering-that/ with organic, biodynamic, regenerative wine products that are also funding Long Island groundwater protection & broader environmental advocacy

🪷 Championing the wellbeing and prosperity of the working class and common folks through a life dedicated to civil and environmental rights legal advocacy

🫶 Incorporating the original community into a 501c3 nonprofit, paving the path for federal recognition and tens of thousands of dollars of tax deductible donations from the ARC community

Josh was hesitant when I told him I wished to honor him personally - he'd initially rather attention be brought on his current battle of protecting the Special Groundwater Protection Area in Islip, Long Island ( https://naturesvineyards.com/2025/10/water-is-life-and-long-islands-future-depends-on-remembering-that/
) However, in spite of some resistance to center and care for himself- in our opinion a detriment to his work to some degree as many lifelong activists experience burnouts - he did agree it is important for us to honor all those who fight for a better future.
