I lived in a royal residence for 3 days?! 🏰😭✨

Pleased to announce that I’m one of the Doctoral Fellows of Cumberland Lodge Cumberland Lodge!🤍

Sometimes, you find yourself in places that make you stop and think… How did I get here, and why am I here?

In September, I had the opportunity to spend three days at Cumberland Lodge, a historic residence in Egham with a history dating back to the 17th century.

I was there as part of the Cumberland Lodge Fellowship, a two-year programme bringing together emerging changemakers who want to tackle social division and build more inclusive communities.

There was something surreal about staying in a place steeped in centuries of history while having rich, thought-provoking conversations about the kind of world we want to build next.

Three days of new perspectives, meaningful discussions, and connecting with people who are passionate about making a difference.

Looking back, I’m still asking myself: How did I get here? 🥹

Grateful for Goodenough College reminding me of this great place which I became aware of during the Queen's Young Leaders programme in 2017.

Excited about the opportunity to learn, grow, challenge perspectives, and be part of conversations that matter. Here’s to the journey ahead! 🤍✨

29 👋🏽 the last series of my 20s is here and I am embracing it ☺️ I thank God for life, for surrounding me with people who make me feel like a top dog, for the spaces and countries Ive been able to exist in and impact, for bringing both my cultures to life, for a dad and brothers to honor, for nieces and nephews to cherish and love. Life is good and I wait on God for instructions ☺️

29 feels like the abundance chapter where everything that I have been building and praying for is being answered.

💜 Almost 10 years ago, I spokest at AAIC as the founder of Dominica Dementia Foundation. This year, I returned as a 2nd year Dementia PhD Student, with the privilege of presenting my PhD research as a poster.

One of the highlights was reconnecting with the Walking the Talk for Dementia alumni and reflecting on memories of speaking about dementia in the Caribbean and walking the Camino in Spain 🇪🇸 with people living with dementia and their care partners.

I also intentionally made time to connect with inspiring colleagues from the Caribbean and across Africa. I'm excited for the research collaborations ahead.

Most encouraging of all was seeing how far dementia research has come. The fight for a cure continues, but this week gave me hope.

After 28 years, I found my Ghanaian dad and family 🇬🇭 and brought them together with my Dominican family for the first time 🇩🇲. What started as a search became a celebration of love, identity, and family. We had to give reverance to God, through thanksgiving and prayers 🤍 It felt like the heavens opened up on us yesterday evening.

Big up for performing at the celebration event, the presence if the Ghana High Comissioner's Office and for the warm reception

The King’s Garden Party celebrating the 50th Anniversary of The King’s Trust at Buckingham Palace 👑 The King’s Trust has played such an instrumental role in my journey as a young person.

During COVID-19, I reached out and joined The Prince’s Trust Photography Course, which became the beginning of something much bigger.
Through the Trust, I was later connected with a film mentor, and that mentorship helped me direct my award-winning documentary , now streaming on and 🎬

My next film project, 🇬🇭🇩🇲, explores my roots as I tracked down and met my dad and extended family for the first time last year.

I also completed The Prince’s Trust Enterprise Programme, which helped me build my professional brand business. Through this, I now deliver bespoke keynote speeches and workshops on ageing, dementia, and mental health, alongside creating social impact films and documentaries. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of working with organisations such as the NHS, University of Kent, and the Dominica UK Association — all while continuing my work with 🇩🇲

I’ve also had the honour of serving as a Young Ambassador for The King’s Trust, speaking about film and supporting youth initiatives.
