French uses the same word to mean both "Macedonia" and "fruit salad".

This is glorious.

This is glorious.

Most of the time, I feel a little bit sorry for people who make horrendous translation mistakes. This is not one of those times.

The NOLA half of the Résidence internationale d’écriture et de traduction (International Writing and Translation Residency) with Centre des auteurs dramatiques and SRT is well under way.

It feels nice to work in spring weather instead of under 3 feet of snow, right Bobbie Rea Beyer, Christina Quintana, Jean-Denis Beaudoin, and Benjamin Pradet?

I am beyond thrilled to be participating in this international residency between the Centre des auteurs dramatiques in Montreal and the Southern Rep Theatre. It is the experience of a lifetime and so far it has been magical.

"In partnership with Centre des auteurs dramatiques based in Montreal, Canada, Southern Rep Theatre is participating in a cross cultural exchange connecting and through ! Over the next month playwrights Christina Quintana and Rachel Graton are working with translators Benjamin Pradet and Roberta Beyer Translation Services to translate their works into English & French! The final reading in French & English will take place in Marquette Hall Loyola University New Orleans March 28th, 2017. "

Every once in a while, I consider taking the ATA certification test. Then I read the guidelines and come out feeling like it's just a money grab. Any other translators out there have thoughts about this?
