The Shadow
When you hear your soul whisper
in sadness or pain
reactivity or negativity
Instead of ignoring,
distracting, or rejecting
Listen. Accept. Breathe.
What does this part of you have to say?
It’s a child
that wants to be heard, integrated, & healed.
You might ask
What do I feel?
Why do I feel that?
Why do I think that?
Is that true?
Why is that so bad?
What does that mean to me or about me?
Whatever comes to mind
observe, accept.
& then realize, it's okay. I am okay.
I am a human with room for growth.
Allow yourself to see yourself
and love yourself,
Your heart will thank you,
The shadow will lessen.
This is meditation.
This is self compassion.
This is The Work
Accepting the Shadow,
and in turn
you lift it
you heal your soul
piece by piece.
