Art-A-Whirl was WILD this year! Thank you for coming, shopping, and complimenting us! My little 💓 is full. It’s always so special to welcome people here to the studio which is like a second home to us. The studio was never once empty and we had a blast having you. We are also **exhausted** 😴 I slept 11 hours last night. Thanks to my studio pals and and Rachael especially for everything they did to pull it off. And to everyone in our amazing art community. The Twin Cities are truly a weird art loving city and that’s the best.

I tried to get the boys in on a photo shoot of the finished fireplace I painted but they weren’t feeling cooperative.

I really enjoy painting big “set pieces” like this on 1/4 inch plywood. All the mantel stuff is one separate piece and we’ll attach it to the fireplace with wooden cleats. This is for my art fair booth but I’d want to hang that mantel on my wall during the off season. When there’s time I’m going to sand down the poly and give it another coat to fix the cragginess.

Teddy is on my back in the last picture because I cannot bend over when he’s around without 12lbs jumping on my back.

Print sizes are 30x22, which is the size of both original paintings, and 16x20 open edition. Prints ship late May!

🌞 At the studio before I took this paper-cut-painting in to be scanned and then framed. Like taking pics with a friend before they leave to go behind museum grade non-reflective acrylic. 🥹
