I’m excited to finally share a project I’ve been working on for the past few years.
H**p Ladies on the Grow is a documentary about three incredible African American women in their 60s—a medical doctor and two federal government retirees—who reinvented themselves by starting h**p farming operations in Halifax County, Virginia after h**p was legalized again in 2018.
I met them in 2021 and began documenting their journey, and I fell in love with their story.
We’ve filmed half the documentary and are now raising funds to finish it.
