Today is September 20th, which means the 6th Annual National Crime and Intelligence Analyst Appreciation Day (NCIAAD) is officially here!
Today, we celebrate YOU and the incredible work crime and intelligence analysts do every day.
You connect the dots. You find the patterns others may not see. You dig through data, information, records, and sometimes an unreasonable number of spreadsheets. You support investigations, provide intelligence, answer the "quick question" that is almost never actually quick, and help turn information into something meaningful and actionable.
Much of what analysts do happens behind the scenes, but the impact of that work is felt throughout our agencies and the communities we serve.
When FCIAA established NCIAAD in 2021, the goal was to create a day dedicated to recognizing our profession and the analysts who make it what it is. Six years later, we are incredibly proud to continue that celebration with analysts, agencies, and organizations across the country.
So today, take a moment to celebrate yourself and your fellow analysts. Share your photos, agency recognitions, team celebrations, proclamations, or whatever NCIAAD looks like for you. We want to see it!
Don't forget to tag FCIAA and use when sharing on social media so we can celebrate along with you.
