How lucky are we
to become a part
of the legacy
at Red Oak Fire Tower?
To share its history,
to capture the views,
to feel the presence
of those before us,
to tell the stories
for those after us.
After several years in the making, our work at Red Oak Fire Tower is complete! Visitors staying overnight at the 83-foot fire tower will learn about its history through interpretive markers on each of the six landings and around all four sides of the catwalk. For those unable to make the climb, there's also a marker in the ground beside the tower.
On the catwalk markers are panoramic photos taken by our dear friend, Josh Stephens, who unfortunately passed away in 2019. We complete this project in his memory.❤️
