Tonight’s the night! 🛹 SheDeck opens at 6pm at Rocket Gallery in Tempe, and I couldn’t be more excited to share my work alongside so many talented artists.

This show is a celebration of skate culture, creativity, and community. There will be live demos, incredible art, and so much more.

It all comes back around again…🛹

This Friday, June 13th, I’m thrilled to be part of SheDeck, a showcase of artists who’ve transformed skateboard decks into works of art. Skate culture has long been a big part of my life. From dreaming of palm trees, chlorine, and "Gleaming the Cube" in my suburban Midwest bedroom, to half-pipe shows in Seal Beach as a SoCal art school kid, it not only fueled my rebellious nature but also helped shape my design aesthetic.

My deck is a reflection of that journey: covered in fabric I designed from my colored pencil typography drawings, edged with my signature black-and-white polka dots, and finished with a touch of iridescent glitter...because even with wear and tear, we still shine.

Paul Reubens was special to the CalArts community. To the world he was P*e Wee, to us he was a beacon of hope to the misfit art school kids. He was internationally famous, yet committed to keeping the spirit of our little school alive. What a tremendous soul.

I have this ring and treasure it, but it's taken on an extra significance over the past few days.

Rest easy fellow Calartian. I'll continue to keep it fun and weird in your honor.

This is so awesome! Sign me up 😀 What a way to honor a man who has done so much for the community, and a great fundraiser for his teen center!

The specialty plate, which honors a very well-known, Arizona-based musician, will benefit two teen centers in the Phoenix area. FOX 10's Marissa Sarbak reports.
