Bridging the Gap Between ISPs and MSPs: A Local Perspective
One of the biggest friction points I’ve seen in tech—from Central Kentucky to nationwide—is the misalignment between ISPs and MSPs.
• The ISP gets blamed for “slow internet,” when the real issue is misconfigured LAN QoS or a saturated firewall.
• The MSP gets frustrated because they can’t get clear answers from L1 support or escalate efficiently.
• Meanwhile, the business suffers from finger-pointing instead of solutions.
As someone who’s worked deep inside ISP infrastructure, I’ve seen how much is misunderstood from the outside. I also know how much smoother things can run when MSPs and ISPs speak the same technical language—and collaborate, not compete.
I’m actively looking to transition into the MSP or enterprise space, bringing my firsthand ISP experience to help solve the exact issues that slow teams down and frustrate clients.
If you’re working at an MSP and have ever said, “I wish the ISP just understood our side,”—I’d love to talk. Let’s build a stronger tech ecosystem in Central Kentucky together.
