Don’t mind me. I’m still processing just how POWERFUL poem was. Amanda you are a Queen 👑. Just re reading the poem this morning made me sob. Oh happy day! It honestly feels like a tiny sense of normalcy is back and I cannot wait for the upcoming 4 years.

Oh so much can change within a year. I made a post similar to this one EXACTLY one year ago today (swipe to see it)...little did we all know we were about to get our world rocked 😂.

People always ask how I got started in lettering and what they could do to make theirs better. I always respond ,”lots of tears and patience. Emphasis on the tears.” When I made this post last year, I had JUST started to use color in my work and the idea of abstract backgrounds and elements. Now I can’t live without either of them in my pieces.

So if you are just now starting your lettering journey or even a new hobby, keep at it because who knows what might change in a year 😉.

You are going to see a lot of people post quotes from MLK today. These could very well be the same people who used his words during the summer and saying he wouldn’t agree with how people were making their voices heard. They could also be the same people and influencers who posted a black square in June...and not say a damn word since. Silence. Keep that in mind when you are scrolling through all of the MLK quotes and posts about unity and service.
