AI hasn't made cybercriminals smarter overnight, but it has made many of them faster.
That's the part businesses need to understand.
Phishing emails can be written more quickly. Messages can sound more natural. Attack scripts can be adjusted faster. Attackers can test, change, and try again in less time than before.
The result is simple: the window to notice and respond can be shorter.
That doesn't mean the basics are outdated. It means they're more important. Use MFA. Watch for unusual logins. Keep endpoint protection active. Train employees to slow down before clicking. Make sure someone's reviewing alerts before a small issue becomes a bigger one.
AI may change the speed of attacks, but good security habits still make a real difference.
