[PLEASE READ CAREFULLY & SHARE] Per regulations, ALL non-profits (501c3) organizations must file complete reports of all donations received and their top executive salaries [visit Salary.com or Glassdoor.com for CEOs of diabetes orgs].
Here’s a snapshot direct from JDRF.com of some of the funding they’ve received over the years from elilillyco, novonordisk vertexpharmaceuticals (Ddad of 2 T1ds is collaborating with Vertex for their *impractical* “cure” for stem cell replacement = immunosuppressants lifelong) and CVS (one of dozens of PBMs in America).
✴️ JDRF received over $26M just from 2/3 insulin mfts. When I have more time I can source Sanofi’s donation to just JDRF alone OR pls comment kindly below / dm links from *credible* resources only. I implore everyone to be diligent in their own research as well.
Other major NPOs that take up to MILLIONS *each* year from Big Pharma = Beyond Type 1 (so far no public reporting) and American Diabetes Association.
MAIN TAKEAWAYS
✳️We’re appreciative of all diabetes orgs research and resources they’re providing.
✳️At what point do we ask these NPOs, “How much money has swayed their advocacy efforts and CEO salaries over $300,000?”
✳️What legislations can Congress write and act soon so less greed determines the outcomes of millions of patients across the U.S? . .
🎄This holiday season, I ask all brand partners we’ve collaborated with in the past and hope to cont in the future, to please be mindful of which NPO you donate to (if any):
. .
I strongly encourage everyone to refer to and learn more about - the only large NPO that does not and will not take $$ from Big Pharma. That’s why they need all of our help. Hosting a Bday fundraiser for them tomorrow. So stick around! Mahalo! ☺️✊🏼💙
