Who’s tried out Tasks in CoPilot?
Have you paired it with a CoWork model (like Claude), or are you using them separately?
If you’ve used both, what features are you liking (or not liking)?
I’ve been thinking about the difference between the two and trying to figure out where they fit into my workflow.
My current take:
I already do a version of “CoWork” inside chat through how I use Projects. It’s collaborative. AI helps me think through ideas, organize information, challenge assumptions, and refine my work. We’re essentially working together.
Tasks feel different.
When I use Tasks, AI isn’t collaborating with me—it’s executing something for me. It becomes more of an automation layer or task agent.
That said, the lines are starting to blur.
A CoWork model can also complete tasks if I ask it to. For example, after providing the necessary information and documents, it could potentially handle processes on my behalf, help manage content workflows, or coordinate multi-step work.
The more I think about it, the more I wonder if we’re watching a bigger shift happen.
For years, most of us have used AI as a thinking partner:
• Brainstorm with me.• Explain this.• Help me write this.• Challenge my assumptions.
Now we’re entering an era where AI can become an ex*****on partner:
• Schedule this.• Monitor this.• Complete this process.• Manage this workflow.
✨ The distinction isn’t what AI can do, but how we’re choosing to use it.
Maybe we’re moving from AI as a tool to AI as a teammate.
The real question is: When do you want AI to think with you, and when do you want it to work for you?
