For those who had to replace their older iPhone because Apple’s push to iOS 26 made it unusable (and now, we find out this was all for nothing!?)… This story is infuriating… Enough to start an Apple petition drive.
Apple removed iOS and iPad OS 18 security updates back in December — pushing hundreds of millions of users toward iOS 26.�Now those updates are back.
But not when it mattered.
Some users upgraded and experienced bugs, and finally with iOS 26.4
most of the bugs are gone.�But some lost performance after upgrading their older device to iOS 26.2�and had to buy a new replacement.
All based on a decision Apple has now reversed.
(Due to a security threat, sure. But there were serious security threats back in January as well!)
