Here’s your treat of these sexy little letterforms. I’m honestly super proud of this project and it’s turned out so much better than I expected.

I really want to make this into a seasonal postcard so I think I might do that. Does anybody have any ideas on what I should name these letters??

Happy Halloweekend!!

I couldn’t let October pass me by and not make something spooky 😈

I have always loved huge animated curves and this was such a great excuse to play with beziers for 3 days. (rip my wrist)

So excited about these forms and looking to make a poster out of this if people are interested 🤭

Branding in motion. A large part of our combined thought process with Moscow Contemporary was to bring energy back into the space.

I think this feels even more relatable to me right now, the ups and downs of creative practice, how we have to fail in order to grow into successes, a sort of cyclical thing.

It also helps that the palouse hills are a one of a kind, beautiful, symbol in their own way.

Motion opens the way for promotion through video, title sequencing, a moment of peace 〰️

Put that space to use!

When we were creating the visual identity for Moscow Contemporary, we discovered a lot of potentials. The building fascia (that’s what the overhang is called) was one of them. As a part of Main Street in Moscow, it’s important to have visual recognition while walking downtown. We can only envision that foot traffic to continue in the future!

The horizontal stress of the typography here was crafted specifically for quick accessibility for travelers, art aficionados and passerby. 🤓

Shoutout! Many thanks to Sam Martinet, Chloe Rambo, Ben Aiman and the rest of the Moscow Chamber team for trusting and developing this symbolism for the Moscow community. It has truly been a privilege to position not one, but two ! downtown entities that I believe will shape the future for new generations.

I may be in California but I want to leave my communities better than I left them. That's why I'm so passionate about being a bridge between here and there.

The Moscow Chamber of Commerce announced this week it will set aside its white and red checkerboard logo in favor of a circular depiction of a sun cresting rolling hills

Introducing: Palouse!
A regional typeface that was developed for Moscow Contemporary, Art Gallery & Non-Profit, reflecting the beautiful landscape of the Palouse hills.

This has been one of the largest and most rewarding projects I have taken on to date. The first of many posts, but I had to share the beginnings of the full package: Brand, Typeface, Web, Motion + More :-)

Such an honor to pay respect to the place that grew me, and will grow other creatives for years to come. 🌱🌿🍀

We had to bring back the embers mask to match with our sky blue ones.
