A standing ovation for ’s “The Gospel at Colonus” at the Getty Villa’s outdoor amphitheater, running through the month of September! This is unlike any Greek tragedy you’ve ever witnessed. The soulful voices of this cast bring the historic mythology to life and electrifies it with powerful and electrifying music. A must see! Tickets are still available at getty.edu

I am incredibly excited to announce that the new LA River Farmers' Market at Los Angeles State Historic Park will launch Thursday, May 26, 2022! This has been passion project that I have been leading for the last 2.5 years through my board seat with the LA River State Park Partners and I am thrilled that it is finally happening.

I ask that you please join me for a 3:00 pm ribbon cutting ceremony, followed by tours of the market, shopping, workshops and performances.

As many of you know, the new LA River Farmers' Market is a collaboration between California State Parks , Los Angeles River State Park Partners , and Sustainable Economic Enterprises - Los Angeles (SEE-LA) .
The Market will bring a new source of farm fresh produce to the neighborhood; support access via CalFresh/EBT, WIC, Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program, and Market Match; and host an array of free cooking, gardening, and cultural programs.

As my friends and biggest supporters I would love for you to join me this Thursday for the launch.

Fruitfully yours,
Elizabeth

The “Black American Portraits” exhibition is stunning!

It features over 140 portraits highlighting the ways in which African Americans have used portraits to envision themselves and reimagine Blackness in their own eyes. The history, discovery of new talent, and visual beauty of this show will be something that will resonate within me for a long time.
