Callboard - MORE than a Call Sheet

Throwback Thursday! So it wasn't that long ago, but we have updated our look. After inviting people to your project, Callboard automatically creates your Crew List and Cast List with clickable links to call or email your fellow filmmakers. Do you like our changes? Subtle but satisfying?

Meme Monday! All filmmakers know how precious time is on set. If you want to make your day or make a good impression, arrive early! You can always chat a little or drink some delicious Lipton tea. It's a great way to start the day knowing that at 7AM we're all ready to go help tell a story.

MAPS! We are going to have maps!
Here at Callboard we stand by the phrase "MORE than a callsheet."

Every Monday we will be explaining what we mean by MORE. Today's topic will be Maps! OR 'Locations' and how to make sure everyone gets to the right place.

In Callboard, it couldn't be easier. You look up your location's street address (or select a GPS location) and that address appears in the app so that you can copy paste or 1-click to a navigation app.

Now, here's where the MORE comes in. We also decided to add a map IN THE APP so that the person who sets the location has validation it's correct and the people who get to set have a better understanding of where to go without opening another email with a .pdf of some images that made the callsheet.... late to go out to everyone.

Maps = MORE than a callsheet = Happy production

M.A.S.H. Most watched TV show ever. Back when there were 5(?) major channels. And a Call Sheet from M.A.S.H. Back when we used rotary dial phones!

We at Callboard think it's time to innovate past a paper call sheet that fails with one misspelled address or start time! Let's use this "smart" phone to save time, energy, and paper.

New Version out today!

Thanks to users who gave feedback we were able to add some new features and make the invite process better!

Also included is a basic .pdf export for those who don't have a smartphone or sending to Agents/SAG or whomever!

Ever been on a project and someone was late to set? If you didn't saved their number or email, you are going to go hunt for a .pdf and copy paste into your phone or email... Gross! How about you open Callboard, go to people, and choose email or call? It's that easy.

Also, forget someone's name or role because.... It's day 1? Do a quick check and avoid that awkward, "You're Jennifer? No, Jessie... Ok, sorry..." Ugh we hate that!

This didn't ruin our favorite movies. It did make us think more about doing a camera rehearsal before taking a shot... And to never work with child actors if you don't have to...
